AAttorney-at-law Nikolay Bozhilov graduated "Law" at the Faculty of Law of Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" in 1996.
In 2010 he successfully completed a training program on the subject of "The legal system of the EU after Lisbon" - a joint program of Sofia University "Saint Kliment Ohridski", European university center in Nancy (Centre européen universitaire de Nancy) and University of Strasbourg (Université de Strasbourg). In 2018 he successfully defended his doctoral thesis.
In the period 1996–1998 he worked as a senior legal consultant, a member of a team at the Ministry of Finance for drafting amendments to the Law on the collection of government receivables in the Territorial Tax Directorate.
In the period 1998–2000 he held the position of chief legal advisor at "United Bulgarian Bank" Jsc.
Since the beginning of 2000 he has been a member of the Sofia Bar Association and founded "Bozhilov Law Firm.
